SCOLIOSIS: (neck, jaw, and back pain due to scoliosis)

     * During my consultation with Dr. Ben, I told him that I had scoliosis and was a candidate for surgery when I was a teenager (37 degree curve). I always had spasms and knots in my back over the years my curve worsened to 50 degrees. Since then I have had additional neck and back pain. My backs gets kinks and I pull muscles in my lower back. When I started treatment my balance was off, had jaw pain, my left leg was one inch shorter, my lower back was higher on one side, and my shoulders were uneven, plus my head tilt and lean were way off. After my first adjustment I noticed a difference right away. First off, when I got up from the table my right nostril was completely unclogged, and I could breathe. The pain was gone in the right side of my neck, my balance was improving, and so was my lean. After my second visit, I am nearly perfect. My balance is perfect, almost no lean, my shoulders are even as they can be, and I am walking straighter. I have had no pain in between my shoulder blades or in my jaw! My left leg is almost completely level with my right and my back is holding the correction. I am very greatful that I met Dr. Ben and Dr. Monika, otherwise I never would have known that NUCCA could of helped me. I highly recommend Dr. Ben to anyone who is in need of a chiropractor. HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE:

     * I had been on medication for high blood pressure for about eight years when my doctor noticed that it was a little too high and suggested raising the dosage. Instead I decided to try to find another way of lowering it. I read about a medical study indicating that NUCCA chiropractic might lower blood pressure. I was skeptical of chiropractors in general, but I felt quite confident after meeting with Dr. Monika. After 5 weeks and only three adjustments my blood pressure reading has dropped more than 30 points in the top number and more than 10 points in the bottom number. I don't remember it ever being this low before. In addition, I no longer have pain and discomfort in my neck, shoulder, and leg. This treatment has made a big difference in my life.

TOE WALKING:

     * My daughter has been a toe walker from the time she began to walk.  We took her to a pediatric orthopedist and was told she has a condition called ideopathic toe walking. The doctor was not sure what caused this condition but told us that the signal from her brain to her legs/feet were being disrupted causing her to walk incorrectly. One of the suggestions for correction was surgery, to cut her achilles tendons in hopes that when she healed her system would be "re-programmed" and her body would receive the signals her brain was sending instead of this procedure we chose chiropractic care.  We begin to see results, however, she was not holding her adjustment and would lose alignment. We continued with this form of treatment for a couple of years. When she continued to lose her alignment we decided to try the NUCCA method with Dr. Monika. My daughter has held her adjustment for 6 months! We are seeing huge improvement in her walking and are encouraged about her progress!

DISC HERNIATIONS:

     * Dear Dr. Monika,
       I would like to thank you for straightening me out. I was at the end of my rope when I came to your office. I have two herniated disc in my back. The pain was UNBEARABLE!. I could barely walk, stand, or do anything without taking medication, and even then it was all I could do to get through the days, and nights. Everything was painful. Life was miserable. My primary care doctor referred me to a spine specialist. The spine specialist gave me a steroid shot in the spine. This helped for about two days then the pain came right back. I went to three other Chiropractors each who were sure they could help me. I tried Decompression Therapy which only increased my pain levels, which I did not realize was even possible. I was losing hope that I could regain a normal life. I was seriously thinking back surgery was going to be my only option left. I traveled from Charlotte down to your office. This was the best decision I had made concerning my pain in four months. You did in two to three visits what other doctors could not do in four months. After the first visit my pain level went from a 9-10 down to a 5-6. After a couple more visits I was down to 2-3. I have been to your office maybe ten times now and my pain gone. Of course, I still have the herniated disc's and I must be careful what I do, but I feel like I am back to normal again. No pain, no medications. MIGRAINES:

     * Everyone says that being a college student is stressful, but being a college student and having horrible migraines can make it even worse. I had to carry Tylenol or Ibuprofen with me at all times; the last thing I wanted was to be stuck in Biochemistry with a horrible migraine. I thought I did not have any options, but to continue that way. Then I saw Dr. Ben and he told me that I did not have to live that way. At first, I was skeptical; but he took his time to explain what they do at the office and how NUCCA is different. He helped me overcome my migraines and with that my constant need to carry around pain-relievers. Now whenever I get migraine, I go in for a quick adjustment.

       The office also helped me with a skin problem that occurred when I reacted to some antibiotics. I stopped in to see Dr. Monika and she understood my worries. She recommended some Standard Process supplements. I would have never thought that these natural supplements could have healed my skin problems and improved my overall health.

NECK PAIN:

     * I was skeptical about chiropractic until my friend told me about NUCCA chiropractor he is going to. He is a type of guy that doesn't give out compliments very often.

       After having neck pain for more than two decades and seeing many doctors, MOST of them recommended surgery--to fix my neck problems. I said to myself I should try everything before surgery. After a couple of visits to Franz Family Spinal Care, I wondered why I didn't go to a NUCCA chiropractor many years ago.

       I don't know how you can adjust me without cracking my bones, but in my 50s I can ride my bike and do yard work which was a problem a few months ago.

CHRONIC PAIN:

     * (ongoing low back and neck pain): I started seeing a NUCCA chiropractor about 6 years ago in Florida. I was used to a traditional chiropractic method before that and had not been happy with its results.  After one visit with the NUCCA chiropractor, I felt immediate relief. I even felt like my right leg had "grown" - you see, all the other doctors told me my right leg was shorter then my left. I was now standing straight for the first time in my life!

       When we moved to SC two years ago, I was disappointed that there were no NUCCA docs in the Upstate. I tried other chiropractors, one being an 'atlas orthogonal' doc - supposedly similar - but it seemd like my back and neck pain would appear more frequently than when I was under NUCCA maintenance before. So I just do what many others do, just 'lived' with the pain until it got annoying enough. And it did - so I reseached again for a NUCCA doc and found Dr. Ben and Dr. Monika's website. I wasn't real crazy about starting over again with a new doctor but I realized I had to in order to move pain-free again.  Dr. Ben's analysis of me was right-on, so I knew he knew what he was doing!  :)   What really impressed me was the interest he has, and the time he takes with me in talking about how I feel and my lifestyle.  I understand how that helps him really focus his advice and professional service on me. I also have learned alot from him on how my body works so we can do things to help it work better.

       I like the Standard Process supplements too. Some have worked very well for me. It's clear that Dr. Ben and Dr. Monika are advocates for the healthy lifestyle they support through NUCCA and Standard Process. It seems only natural that they ended up where they are today.

       I highly recommend these doctors. I am happy to have found them! Hopefully others won't have to look so hard, so I try to sing their praises whenever I can.

LOW BACK PAIN:

     * I have had back problems for years. I knew one of my legs was shorter then the other and because of it my left leg had to compensate for the extra stress. I could not stand straight for long because of the pressure and pain on the lower back.  I also had pain and lots of shin splits even after buying appropriate shoes.

         What I noticed after several treatments:

          2.  I have had no shin splits, I can run like a gazzel (at least in my imagination).

          3.  Beleive it or not when I would wear glasses (before the treatments), my glasses were crooked because of one of my ears were off; after the treatment my glasses were perfectly straight.

          4. My left leg was 1 inch longer then the right, after treatment it was practically even (still receiving treatments).

          NOTE: When I went to a regular chiropractor, my leg straighten but it would only hold the position for about 15-20 minutes. With my first treatment at Franz, it lasted several days.

      It is great to see results so fast and have them last more then a day or two. I highly recommend the Franz treatment. It is worth every penny!

     * I came to Dr. Franz with low back pain and tension which made moving painful, particularly sitting down or standing up.  After taking X-rays and examing me I received my first NUCCA adjustment. When I first sat up I was a little light headed but that quickly went away. As I began to move around I noticed my low back was relaxed and it did not hurt to stand up.  In addition, I felt taller and lighter, like a weight has been lifted off my shoudlers. FOOT PAIN:

     * I was introduced to NUCCA chiropractic treatment when my wife went in for treatment. Upon arrival at the Franz Family Spinal care clinic, for the first time, Drs. Monika and Ben walked my wife and I through a detailed explanation of the NUCCA treatment process. I was impressed that treatment could only begin after a series of x-rays were taken and analyzed so the proper treatment procedure could be applied.

      About three weeks after my wife went if for, successful treatment of her back problem, I started having problems with my right foot, in particular the arch of my right foot. Because of the pain I was unable to put weight on this foot.

      I made an appointment with podiatist to examine my foot; however, my wife suggested that before going to the podiatrist I should go to Franz Family Spinal Care clinic for treatment. During their, detailed, initial exam they discovered that my right leg was two (2) inces shorter then my left. I received a NUCCA treatment and by the next day the pain in my foot was gone. In a followup visit, just prior to my appointment with podiatrist, I suggested that I cancel my podiatrist appointment but the Drs. encouraged me to keep the appointment. The podiatrist examined my foot and found nothing wrong.

      I have received chiropractic treatments from other chiropractic clinic and received short term relief of pain. This is the first time that I have had any long term relief of pain from a chiropractic treatment.
